Hello!
It's been a while since I blogged, and now that I'm here, I decided to update about what I did on Valentines' Day. (:
14 February 2014 (at 1am in the morning)
I decided to sleep early that night because I was feeling so sleepy, I don't even know why. The moment I crawled to bed and lay down there, I was knocked out.
After an hour plus, I woke up because of some nightmare, and I couldn't get back to sleep. So I spent another hour just lying down there thinking of what to do the next day with my love, and hoping that I would drift off to sleep soon. But I couldn't, and that's when my love texted me. Yup, so I spent the next two hours chatting with my love, and again, hoping that I would fall asleep. At 4am plus, I told my love that I would try to get some sleep, and he should too. So we stopped chatting and well, again, I couldn't sleep. That's when an idea popped up.
You see, I spent my entire Valentines' Day Eve, thinking about what to give for my love. I felt really guilty because I haven't do anything for him and even went to google on "What to give for guys on Valentines' Day". But oh well, it was a fruitless effort anyway, cause' the results were all about using money to buy gifts, which is kinda insincere? Well, that's my opinion though.
So yeah, an idea popped up at 4am in the morning. It was actually Hearts in a Jar. But then again, I don't have time to do that and mehh, I did that before and realised that I don't have that patience to do so.
I lay down there continue to think of what to do, and ta-da! Another idea popped up - Baking cookies! I figured out that it was a great idea considering the fact that I only had lesson the next day at 2pm and I'm meeting my friend at 12pm. So I just need to wake up super early to bake. But then again, it was a challenge for me since I've never bake cookies alone before. I only baked it in school during F&N and the recipe was given by my F&N teacher. So it meant that I have to start searching for easy and quick recipe and pray that I'll be able to make the dough successfully.
At 5am in the morning, I managed to find a cookie recipe that doesn't require any eggs. (Because I got no eggs at home :P) It was really easy and quick, but the problem is, I'm afraid that the dough will come out as crumbles or too sticky. Oh well, I still have to try right? So yep, I went to take medicine and went to sleep (Like a finally).
14 February 2014 (Day)
Woke up at 8am in the morning and I couldn't wait to see my love. Hehe
I went to start working on my baking and to my surprise, the dough came out really well. It was just nice. I even went to find recipes on how to make the icing sugar and realised that it was super easy. All you need to do, is to mix the powder icing sugar and a lil' bit of milk and oh, food colouring of course, unless you want it to be white, and ta-da~ the thick icing sugar is formed! It hardens real fast too! But oh well, despite getting two easy recipes, I'm still late for both the meeting with my friend and lesson. Mehh.
I rushed out of my house and went to meet Eunice first. Well cause I knew I'm gonna late, so I asked her to help me buy contact lens first and I'll just meet her and we exchange. HAHAH Okay so I met her, and she said my cookies were delicious. OF COURSE IT WAS HAHAHAAH okay I'm just kidding. I was okay for me. hehe
Next, I rushed to school to meet Xiao Tian, we were supposed to meet at 12pm and have lunch together but I was super super late and ended up meeting her at 1:30pm and not eating together of course... I passed her the cookies I made, and she gave me a pink rose! Hehehe
Okay so I met Eden and we went to class together. It was supposed to be 2pm lesson, but my lecturer decided to change the lesson time to 1:30pm. Tsk. I'm super super late, well not only me, Eden too.
By the time we reached the class, my love's group already started presenting. and was going to end too. HAHAH opps. Oh well.
Lesson ended at 2:30pm plus plus. It was great of course, but not on this day. It's the last day of school, and my group already presented last week so this week we are free, and I rushed to school because of this and we ended after an hour plus. I just wasted my time by rushing to school. Tsk. Oh well, we took our sort of ootd picture outside class and he gave me a pink rose :D That's right, 2 pink roses of the day. hehe
Okay enough of school stuff.
Me and my love went to catch a movie after lesson, we went to watched "Endless Love" mainly because the horror movie we wanted to watch is R21 and well, there weren't any movies left so yup.
*Gonna leave out the details on what happened during the movie hehe*
So after the movie, we went Sushi Tei, and trust me, that was my first time queuing outside some restaurant and waiting to get seated. HAHAHA cause I'm forever lazy. Mehh.
Right after dinner, we decided to have dessert and went to Sogurt. It was our first time eating Sogurt. hahaha and well, we took our twitter profile pictures there. hehe :P
Went to the open spaced rooftop (?) to talk. He gave me another gift and I gave him the cookie. Hehe the gift he gave me was really sweet and full of sincerity. (:
He sent me back home, and we waited for bus 143 for more than 30 mins. Tsk, wth is wrong with the bus but oh well, I get to spend more time with my love, hehe.
On the bus, there was a lady sitting in front of us. We can't do anything cause' she was staring at us wherever we talked. Mehh it was awkward and funny.
So yeah, went back home and I couldn't stop smiling to myself. Hehe
Overall...
Well overall, yeah, how I spent my Valentines day doesn't sound anything special to others, but to me, it was. Though we only got together for 3 days when we celebrated Valentines day, it was still special to me. I was well spent, and I wouldn't forget this day. It wasn't an awkward date. There weren't any awkward silences and we had lots to talk about. Yes I had endless topics with my used-to-be best friend too, but that was only on whatsapp. We actually didn't talk much when we went out. It was awkward, really. Just that I don't want to admit it. My love is a super nice guy, he may looked blur but he's not what he looked. I was actually quite shocked at how sweet and loving he was when we got together. Actually, some of my classmates were shocked at how he's a different person after he got attached too. I didn't expect him to be so sweet but I guess I was wrong. I'm near to getting diabetes soon. Hahaha
So I had a proper date on Valentines Day after 18 years of my life, and I'm genuinely happy now.
